On the way back, my cousin drove me to dragon fruit plantation farm. This is my 1st time seeing such things.
The whole place is fucking huge that we can even rent bicycle to cycle around.
I was about to buy some of these. But then, I have no where to place them.

On the way to supper, my cousin was telling us that her teacher told them that there is this showcase of animal at GIANT. She even said that there will be tiger, monkey, snake etc.
We all don't believe and decided to drive up and have a look. Surprisingly, its TRUE!!

Marina Barrage
Update for the past few weeks.
Before Year 2 start, we had a gathering at Marina Barrage for flying kite and dinner at Ichiban. It was a wrong day for flying kite. Freaking hot. We cant even keep ourselves at outdoor. Slack at a cafe till evening then we explored around the place.
Whenever there is water, there will be kids.
Super late dinner at Ichiban, 9pm.
I cant remember much what happened that day, so nothing much to blog about.

2 more weeks and I'm back to the same old place. I guess, the first days of school reopens, time will just past very very slowly.
During my 8 weeks of holiday, most of the time spent was on work. I want to earn and save money for the genting trip with them. I hope this trip will be successful.
Celebration of Lin Min + Hwee Sheng birthday.
-Dinner at Hotpot Culture. -Have fun eating together. -Comparing whose soup base was the best. -Talking about secondary school days -Suddenly remember yong hui is the Tissue Man. -Yong Hui's white hair turns to black without any hair dye. -Yong Hui's face becomes smoother. -Arcade since xxxxx years -Play Pool -Watch couple spending $$$$$$ to catch useless soft toys. -Sitting beside the couple which make the boyfriend not to embarrass in front of us by changing more and more notes to coins. -Running on heels to catch the last train.
My 4th times in Ubin A late trip to Ubin. We reached at 2pm.
-Slept for 3 hours before heading off. -Our breakfast was settled in Subway. -MRT all the way to the other end and took a bus then a boat. -First thing was to have coconut. -Rent double seats bicycle. -me+NCG, xiao qing+theck sheng, hui li+wan hao, chien juan+clarence -Spray insect repellent . -Apply sunblock. -Start the journey. -Either me and NCG or chien juan and clarence were leading. -Stop at one place for group photo. -Went deeper in, stuck with the mud, everyone came down to push the bicycle. -Going UP and DOWN the slope, all of us were tired. -All started to push the bicycle. -I was laughing when we approach the rocky route. FUN -NCG scared the rock will puncture wheels. -Slight rain. -Girls behind starts to bring out an umbrella and keep all hp,MP3, and camera. -Dinner was CHEAP there.
We find it too early to go home. Clarence mentioned OCH, he told us he went there with ivan and qingwen. They encountered something.
It was 6pm, we thought that we were able to make it there to have the external look. But, we can't. By the time we reached there, not even near to OCH, it totally pitch dark.
We were standing somewhere that will lead us to OCH, thinking thinking and thinking, should we just walk up just to gate and just have a picture of it. But, it was so dark that we din even make it up to the slope. Ncg insisted. We told him that we don't even have touchlight, there is no way to make it up there.
Well, we will go there some other day.
I'm still painting, even NOW!!! my sunflower.
I had a 5 days of OFF straight, that makes me feels like painting even more.
At the same time, painting will help me kill time. So, I brought a total of 13 bottles of acrylic and a box of brushes. Very reluctant to buy. I no longer a art student and yet I'm still spending money on these art materials.
I hope that my passion will still continue, I don't want to waste this type of money.
Buy for the sake of buying and used it for a short period of time.
Then again, whenever there is art, there will be MASS.

Exams had ended, Holidays have started, Result is OUT !
EXAMS
The only thing I can say about the exams was, I prepare liao SIAO. But at times, I really want to give up. Can't wait till the start of my 2 months of holidays.

My Birthday 5th Feb and I'm 19 now, in no time I'm going to hit 20. My big TWO. Time is really flies.
Alright, people who spent that day together with me were:
-Eugene -Lin Min -Hup Lian -Hwee Sheng -Yee Cheng -LEE LI XUAN -Wan Hao -Zhen Fu -Clarence -Qing Wen -Xuan Zhi -Xiao Qing -Emily -Chien Juan -Theck Sheng
A total of 16 people including me having dinner together at YUKI YAKI.
I was SO SO happy and exicted to look forward that day! What a BIG gathering!
This balloon was still floating in my room, which always remind me of how happy am I on that day.(so sort of escape from poly)
Let talk about how that day come about.
In the morning, lesson as usual. I even had a presentation which I have to bring extract clothes to change later.
By right, Eugene will be dismissed earliest among lin min and I. In the end, we girls have to wait for him and even asked us to buy drinks for him.
We leave at 4.30pm.
Taking photo with him because we never see him wear till like this before.
Pass my camera to him and that us:
Upon reaching Marina SQ, Hup Lian called. Meet up with her, make a reservation at Yuki Yaki and we move on to this place for more photo taking.
Eugene will be holding the camera. The way he takes picture was "without proper 1 2 3".
He always have secret phone coming in....
The "GIRLS"
Once it 6pm, we walked in and chiong for our dinner. That was my first meal.
While eating, we take pictures also. All these were for memories...
I get very irritated once Yee Cheng came. He keep talking rubbish to me and sang birthday song which Hwee sheng commented : " Yee cheng, you sing till like no one is celebrating birthday here leh"
Since he was sitted near the outside which was easier for him to go in and out, I kept asking him to take this and that for me.
Then after li xuan came, I asked him to take 1 set of utensil for her. He got pissed off. "wah lao, i waiter ar?"
Then a photo of him getting the utensil.
Then Emily and Xiao Qing arrival.
Li xuan can't cook. She was screaming all the way.
Her rescue came from Hup Lian.
When most of them had reached, I think it time for me to cook something for them. And I cooked my fav. mushrooms.
Of course not just boil them and serve them with this. I have cooked them with over the pan.
That's my final outcome. When I first cook, Hwee sheng said it NICE. yeah-.
Like what I have mentioned, he was very irritating that I ignored him most of the time. That why, he take picture with this face. hahaha..
Theck Sheng called and asked me where is the place. I was busy cooking and passed the phone to Yee cheng.
What he have done was: "Hellooooo, weee areee att Yukiii YAKIIII" He drag his voice all the way and act like a girl.
Theck Sheng, hang up the phone without specking any single word.
This make Yee cheng so happy and keep laughing over it.
When Chien Juan and Qing Wen reached, they passed me this balloon. I was like: "Huh, how am I suppose to go home with this? Everyone will be like looking at me...."
Clarence, the joker. Like what Lin Min said, we can dont need to know what he is talking about, base on his voice, we will know that it going to be funny.
The last person to reach was him.

So I ask yee cheng to take for us.
Then, we moved on to the Girl's Table for more photo taking.
Back to my table.
When I see this photo, 1 question came to my mind. And that question was:
4 years back, they were couple and now HOW COME they still SO CLOSE. Somemore still can be GOOD FRIEND leh? I'm wondering WHY and HOW they manage to do it... They won't have any weird weird feeling meh?
I always want to ask them but always forget.

Carol's Departure 10/1/09
Received a message from lin min, inform us when and where to meet.
This time round, lesser people went to send carol off. Xiaoqing and thecksheng din not turn up.
We had dinner together at some Jap restaurant. Well, the food was not bad actually. After the dinner, we thought that we still have some time to slack at Coffee Bean but we can't. As carol's mum called her and told her that it time to go in for some shopping.

I'm just so bored.
I'm sitting for law paper in few hours time and I have not totally engage into it. I can't sit still reading my notes. I just can't.
What I have in mind was how am I going spent my 2 mths holidays with start on the 17 Feb.
I want to carefree now.
Alright people, please ignored this, I'm just typing what I could remember for LAW.
_____________________________________________________________________ Economic Loss
- court held no duty owned to plaintiff who suffered loss due to the defects in economic loss. Economic loss is define as loss suffered from plaintiff due to the damage in to building without suffering injury to himself or damage to his property.
-this can be proved by Weller v Foot and Mouth Disease Research in Inst.
Where court is reluctant to award compensation for economic loss because of been afraid of excessive liability.
-Economic Loss in building means that the defects occur from the very beginning of construction and plaintiff did not suffered injury or damage to his property. Plaintiff only suffered an reduction on the value of his building due to the defect.
-upon who can the plaintiff sue, it all depend on the contractual relationship. the plaintiff may sue the developer, developer can sure the architect/builders/consultant. The plaintiff will only success if he suffered injury or damage in his property, otherwise the plaintiff will not be entitled to any compensation. So long it pure economic loss, no compensation will be awarded.
However, if there no contractual relationship exit, then the plaintiff may sue under tort. When the plaintiff sue under tort, developer will never get involved. Then again, plaintiff will not be compensated if he only suffered pure economic loss.
-For English Law, the court will not award compensation damages to subsequent owner for building defects caused by negligent construction/design. This can be proved with
D&F Estate v Church Commissioners for England. House of Lord held that, builders' liability is limited to :
-Injury suffered by plaintiff
-damage to plaintiff's property
Damage to property itself = pure economic loss, hence no compensation.
-For Singapore law, is different. It difference in, plaintiff can sue for compensation due to defect at common area under economic loss. The court will consider 2 factors before awarding compensation.
First the sufficient proximity between the plaintiff and defendant on is it foreseeable that the defendant's negligent will lead to damaged to plaintiff.
Second, the public consideration where how much the plaintiff have to depend on the defendant to take reasonable care in exercising his duty.
-"Ocean Front" Case
Managing Corporation sue the developer for economic loss due to defect in common area. Those defects are:
Faulty construction in concrete carpark celling which led to spalling.
Faulty construction in corridor which led to water pounding in lift lobbies.
The court held that MC can claim compensation from the developer due economic loss in common area.
The reason for this judgment are, the proximity relation between the MC and developer, it foreseeable that developers' negligent in constructing common area will result in repair work to be done by MC. In order for MC to carry out their obligations in maintaining the common area, the MC will have to relay on the developer to take reasonable care in building the condo.
- "Eastern Lagoon" case
Mc sue design consultant for economic loss instead of developer who has gone out of business for pure economic loss due to:
Bricks and tiles are falling apart from wall of a tower block because of faulty design.
The court held that MC was able to claim compensation from the design consultant due to economic loss.
The reason for this judgement was because, there is sufficient proximity relationship between the MC and design consultant that it is foreseeable for the design consultant to realise that the building will be taken over by the MC in maintaining the common area. Therefore, the MC have to relay on the design consultant to take reasonable care in designing the building.
- Implication of these 2 case were similar and to determine how far-reaching can the duty and responsibilities owned by parties within construction industry to their clients.
The court have decided that, anyone in construction industry have owned a duty of care to MC.
- Purpose: to set the terms and conditions for employment and to enforce the rights and obligation that the employer and employee have.
-All workman is covered under the act expect:
1. seaman
2.Domestic worker
3. Statuary Board and govt. employee
4. Person holding managerial & executive position.
- for NON-WORKMEN earning below $2000 is covered for all provision
-for NON-WORKMEN earning above $2000 is not covered in PART IV
-for WORKMEN earning below $4500 is covered for all provision.
-for WORKMEN earning above $4500 is not covered in PART IV
-for manager and executive who is earning below $2500 is covered only against non- payment act.
-WORKMEN is define as:
1.Skilled or unskilled manual labour including craft man and apprentice.
2.Person who holds no influence/power in operation or maintaining mechanically propelled vehicles.
3. Supervisor who is partly a manual worker who spent more then 1/2 his time doing manual work.
4. Person listed on First Schedule (Bus conductor)
-Contract of Service:
one part agree to employ another as employee and another party agree to serve as employee of that person. It can be any form of agreement, oral, written, implied, express.
-situation of unfavourable situation:
If the terms and condition in the contract is less favourable then the act, the contact will be void.
The act will take precedence over the unfavourable contractual term.
-termination of contact:
It can be terminated it , if the contact have expired or completed.
-notice for termination of service:
If it not stated in the contract, the act will applies.
less then 26 weeks notices of 1 day
more then 26 weeks to less then 2 years notices of 1 week
more then 2 years to less then 5 years notices of 2 weeks
more then 5 years notice of 4 weeks.
-situation where no termination of notice is needed:
1.the party who wish to terminate the contact is willing/have to pay the another party a sum of money in place of the notice.
2.an wilful event breach
3.misconduct of employee
4.he/his dependant is immediately threaten by danger with violence/diseases.
5.agreed both parties who agree to cancel the notice of termination at any time.
-breach of contract:
1.employer fail to pay salary to his employee.
2.employee is absent from work more then 2 days continuously without

-without explaining/attempt to explaining the reason for been absent.
the party who breaks the contact will have to pay the another party the salary in place of notice

3.employee find that his dismiss without unfair, he may within that 1 mth of dismissal to make representation by writing to MOM to get back his formal position.

5.Found his dismissal unfair, he may claim compensation or return to formal position.
-payment of salary:
all rewards including allowances payable to employee in respect of work done under contract service. But the payment of salary does not include:
1. accommodation of house/supply of light
2.transportation expenses
3.CPF
4.expensive expenses in course of duty
5.gratuity payable to retirement/discharge
6.retrenchment benefits
-Singapore terms, no minimum wages as long as both parties agreed on the agreement.
-frequency of payment:
Shall not exceed 7 days after the end period of salary
For OT, shall not exceed 14 days after the last days of salary period.
-rest day:
employee is entitled to 1 rest day per week.
longest possible interval for 2 rest days is 12 days.

1. at employer request:

Browsing Through .........
My past archives, eyes were filled with tears.
this makes me feel bad.... Graduation Day (5th Oct 07)
To me, Graduation Day was to declare that : I don't need to report school at 7.20 am. I don't need to wake up at 5.50 am. I have no more chances to fall asleep in class. I don't need to endure whatever I have to endure. I don't need to attend any lessons that was conducted by the teacher whom I HATE! ( Zhang lao shi) I don't need to wear that uniform that makes me feel warm! I no longer needs to worry that Miss wong is going to call my name. I no longer needs to attent Miss Wong lessons ( sleepy)Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla........ (alot more but i can't recall)......................................................................
What I miss was the times that:
Table Tennis Training at lower sec. Mr Lee will always treat Pei En, Melissa and me ice cream. Soon I began skipping training or I will only stayed in the hall for 1 hr then GO HOME. I was the "eat snake" type when I was in upper sec!
Eating SNOW ICE with friends straight after school! I won't forget the incident that happened between Amy and Li Xuan! haha
Doing art project with Jean,Lin Min and Li Xuan.(zebra & giraffe) Li Xuan was a joker at that time! As she insisted on painting the strips for the zebra and end up looking like the zebra crossing!
Chased out by Mrs bala for laughing too loud! "the four girls, get out of the class"laughing over all small things. To others we are the siao cha bo.
Mrs lau's music lessons. ( rubber band)writting letters to jean lin min and theck sheng.
Thinking back, I find it silly. I feel worst when I go back and read those letters.. haha
enjoys D&T lessons.

the days i had in fuhua. im repeating this again
the days i had with them. i can laugh all i want. i can talk without thinking.
the day i had with Miss Hoe. I like to take her ride back home. I like her to reason things out for me to understand. I would like to thank her for all the things she has done.
The reason for not having much aims for 2009 is due to the fact that I still can't leave behind those memorable days.
As for 2009:
I only wish that I can excel in my studies.
No troubles.
$$$ keep flowing in.
Accept the life in poly.
Stop all the sinful meet up.

goodbye 2008
random 2008 facts:
-schooling in poly which make me hate it so much.
-I realised that it so much better off in secondary school.
-I feel insecure.
-Friends in poly are so called ' surface friends '
- True friends are still secondary school friends. (just like what miss hoe said)
-I study real hard and also play hard in the holidays.
